Training
Following the recent easing of Covid-19 restrictions, Logan Tri Club is getting back to training whilst adhering to the 20 limit rule per session. Our sessions for June will be posted on our private page when our coaches are available to coach until we can get the July plan together. Get excited for coaches sessions!😁
Training is provided by members of the Logan Triathlon Club. Multiple training sessions are available at no charge, however there is a charge for use of pool facilities. The majority of training is held around the Logan area. Longer rides include trips to Mount Tamborine and around the Logan City area.
In addition to the formal training and group sessions, members often get together for other tri-based activities. These are typically posted on the Logan Tri Club Training Facebook page letting members know of other activities. Be sure to check the Facebook Training page for more details.

Meet Our Coaches
The Logan Triathlon Club is run by volunteers who are passionate about triathlons. As coaches, they bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to share with all and aim to help each member progress in the sport.
Darren RyanHead CoachDarren has been competing in the sport of triathlon since 2005 and has been coaching for the club since 2016. Darren takes great pride in being one of the only junior coaches who volunteers his time to helping kids enjoy this great sport. He also enjoys working with beginners to the sport and helping them enjoy it and get the most out of the sport. Darren believes in keeping things simple and fun from kids to adults and enjoys seeing his athletes improve over the season.

Cathy HockeyCommunity CoachCathy Hockey joined the Hyperdome Triathlon Club several years ago, prior to it being renamed as Logan Triathlon Club. Cathy was initially drawn to the challenge of participating in triathlons as well as the benefits of improving her fitness, health and wellbeing. Like many of the members of the club, Cathy has enjoyed the intergenerational social interaction with other club members and meeting other triathletes in the competitions in which she has participated.
With a background in education and with a view of assisting the training of our club juniors, Cathy completed the Community Coaching Course in 2018 provided by Triathlon Australia in liaison with the AIS. In being a keen cyclist, Cathy has been available to encourage and support adults who are new to the club and are beginning cyclists. She and her hubby, Greg, have enjoyed the weekend social rides with other club members. |
Anna HollingsworthCommunity CoachAnna started in triathlon completing a Bribie Island Enticer race in 2011, and was quickly bitten by the triathlon bug. She joined Logan Tri Club (then the Hyperdome Triathlon Club) in 2012, and has been involved with the club every since. She completed the Volunteer Coaches’ Course in 2017, and loves helping people to discover just what they are capable of with encouragement and consistent training.
Anna is also a keen trail runner and can often be found at some of the many trail runs here in SE QLD. She is now focused on running. Her running sessions are thoughtfully designed to cater for all age groups and abilities. Richard McErleanRichard has been in the sport of triathlon for many years and has learned a trick or two in that time. Having recently completed the latest coaching course Richard has been quick to help our team with his well organised sessions and great humour. Despite his love of the Canberra raiders Richard always brings a smile and a laugh to his training.
